$13M Award for COVID Vax Refuser; Doc Sentenced for Threats to Blow Up Hospital

Omar Marar, MD, who threatened to blow up a Michigan hospital, was sentenced to 6 months of probation. Marar reportedly was in an operating room when he became upset about malfunctioning equipment and threatened to get his bomb belt and blow everyone up. (ABC 12)

A Florida ophthalmology practice will pay $1.3 million to resolve allegations that it received kickbacks for billing for unnecessary transcranial Doppler ultrasounds, according to the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Colorado’s UCHealth will pay $23 million to resolve claims that it improperly upcoded on certain emergency department visits, the DOJ said.
