MarketingRx roundup: Bristol Myers re-ups cross country cycling fundraiser; Pfizer employees share migraine ‘personas’

Bris­tol My­ers Squibb em­ploy­ees sad­dled up on bi­cy­cles from the West Coast last week in the first wave of its an­nu­al “Coast 2 Coast 4 Can­cer” fundrais­er for can­cer re­search, now cel­e­brat­ing its 10th year.

The ini­tial group rode 225 miles from Can­non Beach, OR, over three days to hand off to the next leg of the jour­ney that will even­tu­al­ly end on the East Coast in Long Branch, NJ.

This year’s fundrais­ing goal is $1 mil­lion, which goes to the V Foun­da­tion for Can­cer Re­search every year, and Bris­tol My­ers will match do­na­tions dol­lar for dol­lar up to $500,000. In 2014 when the ride be­gan, it was a US tour on­ly, but has since ex­pand­ed to Eu­rope, Japan and Latin Amer­i­ca.
