Lonza CEO Pierre-Alain Ruffieux is set to leave the Swiss contract manufacturer at the end of the month, with chairman Albert Baehny set to step in as the interim CEO, per a Monday press release.
The separation is based on a “mutual agreement,” according to the company, but it didn’t specify a reason for his departure. The company’s strategy and outlook moving forward will be discussed at its Capital Markets Day in Visp, Switzerland, on Oct. 17.
