The Reagan-Udall Foundation on Thursday published a wide-ranging report on how the FDA can combat misinformation, marking some progress on one of FDA Commissioner Robert Califf’s key goals for the agency.
The 34-page report concluded that the agency should take a more proactive approach to its communication, or “prebunk” misinformation. It also recommends that the agency leverage communication channels, messengers and media to reach a broader audience, and evaluate the tone that the agency uses in its communications.
