During his tenure, Dowling has shifted Northwell’s revenue outside the four walls of the hospital. The system has 21 hospitals and 890 other sites of care like doctor’s offices and urgent care centers, and 0nly 45% of its revenue is derived from hospital-based business, Dowling said.
