Sanofi wants to open up conversations about hemophilia, especially between people living with the condition and their doctors.
Driving its ambition are insights from a new Harris Poll survey commissioned to query patients, caregivers and hematologists from around the world and find noticeable gaps between patients’ and providers’ perspectives.
More than half (54%) of patients, for example, reported having fair or poor health, yet 71% tell their healthcare providers they are doing fine. Only 35% of patients think their hematologist involves them in treatment discussions. Meanwhile, 84% of hematologists said they want patients to be more involved in treatment decisions.
