Recipharm to change CEOs, spin out inhaler business

Recipharm CEO Marc Funk is stepping down at the beginning of next year, and a former Nestlé executive is set to take over as chief executive as the CDMO prepares to spin off its inhaler business.

Greg Behar has been the CEO of Nestlé Health Science since July 2014, and he has held previous leadership positions at Novartis and Boehringer Ingelheim.

Funk has served as CEO of Recipharm since March 2021 and will join the company’s board. Funk will continue as CEO and board member of MarBio, Recipharm and Morocco’s joint vaccine manufacturing site initiated in July 2021. He will also remain on the board of NewBiologix, a cell line engineering business launched in May and funded by Recipharm.
