The House on Monday evening passed a wide-ranging bill that aims to make the healthcare industry more transparent, including amping up reporting requirements for insurers and banning spread pricing for pharmacy benefit managers.
The 243-page bill, which was passed by a vote of 320-71 under suspension of the rules, was the culmination of work between the leaders of multiple committees and marks a major step forward in the bipartisan push to rein in PBMs.
