Supreme Court to review limitations on abortion pill

The Supreme Court will re­view a low­er court’s de­ci­sion to lim­it the use of mifepri­s­tone, a pill com­mon­ly used for abor­tion.

The case marks the high court’s re­turn to re­pro­duc­tive care dis­cus­sions af­ter over­turn­ing the con­sti­tu­tion­al right to abor­tion in 2022. Mifepri­s­tone has been mar­ket­ed for decades, and is used by more than half of women who choose to end their preg­nan­cies, ac­cord­ing to court doc­u­ments.
