Verily’s chief medical officer and president of product development Amy Abernethy is leaving the company to build a healthcare nonprofit, the company told employees Tuesday morning.
It’s the latest leadership shuffle at the eight-year-old company, which started out as tech giant Alphabet’s life sciences arm. Verily in January named its former president Stephen Gillett as CEO and laid off 15% of its workforce.
