PhRMA readies suit over Florida’s newly authorized Canadian drug import plan

In­dus­try group PhRMA plans to again sue over a pro­gram that the FDA au­tho­rized late last week to al­low Flori­da to be­gin bulk pre­scrip­tion drug im­ports from Cana­da, ac­cord­ing to a per­son fa­mil­iar with the mat­ter.

PhRMA pre­vi­ous­ly sued over the pro­gram but had its suit thrown out be­cause the judge ruled the group didn’t have stand­ing. Now that the FDA au­tho­rized Flori­da’s pro­gram on Fri­day, PhRMA may be able to show harm.
