The Association for Accessible Medicines sued Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul over a law that the Washington, DC-based trade group says would give the state “sweeping powers” over the price of generic drug costs.
The lawsuit, filed in US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, claims that the Restrictions on Manufacturers’ Amoral Behavior Through Reasonable Oversight Act is unconstitutional. It asked the federal court to stop Raoul from enforcing the price control provisions of the legislation.
