AstraZeneca is building out its cancer collaboration with the National Hockey League in conjunction with its newly-published survey that found big gaps in public awareness of cancer screenings.
The survey of 4,600 adults in the US showed that three-fourths didn’t know that lung cancer screening is recommended, as was the case for recommendations for cervical cancer (68%), colorectal cancer (65%), prostate cancer (57%) and breast cancer (51%). All five cancers are recommended by the US Preventive Services Task Force for screening tests depending on individual age and risk.
