J&J expands myeloma and health equity efforts with female hip-hop pioneer MC Lyte

Johnson & Johnson is advancing its multiple myeloma awareness and health equity goals with new social media influencers, including female hip-hop pioneer MC Lyte.

The well-known rap artist and producer will host a Facebook Live session as part of J&J’s “That’s My Word” campaign on Wednesday, along with a physician researcher, caregiver and patient advocate.

The patient advocate, Thomas Goode, may not be as famous as MC Lyte, but as a Black man living with multiple myeloma after being misdiagnosed and participating in clinical trials, his experiences are at the core of what J&J is trying to amplify.
