For all the high-fly­ing claims for AI in drug dis­cov­ery, Leash Bio has start­ed with a more ground­ed ap­proach — lit­er­al­ly.

Leash’s lab and head­quar­ters were in the base­ment of Ian Quigley’s Utah home for the com­pa­ny’s first two years. The start­up re­cent­ly moved to its first prop­er of­fice in a Salt Lake City in­cu­ba­tor, and it’s now pub­licly launch­ing with a chal­lenge to the AI bio-in­dus­try: You’re go­ing to need way, way more da­ta.
