AstraZeneca’s rare disease arm Alexion is debuting an original short film Thursday for patients with the rare neurological condition neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD).
In the documentary, three patients each read a letter written by one of the others that describes their physical and emotional experiences living with NMOSD. Their stories contain many similarities, like years of misdiagnoses of multiple sclerosis, severe head and eye pain, relapses, family support and perseverance.
