WASHINGTON — A federal judge on Thursday tossed out a U.S. Chamber of Commerce lawsuit challenging Democrats’ drug pricing law.
The decision is yet another loss for the pharmaceutical industry and its allies, which have filed lawsuits across the country arguing that the Inflation Reduction Act, which created a drug price negotiation program in Medicare, is unconstitutional. So far, they have lost every one.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce argued that it could sue based on the fact that pharmaceutical companies are members of the group, and then filed the lawsuit jointly with a local chapter of the Chamber based in Dayton, Ohio.
