Make the Diagnosis: This Rash — Serious? Likely to Recur?

Presentation

An 18-year-old man visited his doctor about a slightly pruritic rash that developed on his trunk 2 weeks prior. On examination, numerous oval, pink and violaceous, fine, scaly papules and plaques on the back were seen, that extended to the proximal arms and thighs. He was not on any medications and had no recent history of trauma or infection. He was otherwise well and had no systemic symptoms. Can you diagnose the patient?
