Merck’s insurance battle over $1.4 billion in alleged losses from a 2017 malware attack is now headed to New Jersey Supreme Court following an appellate decision in Merck’s favor in May.

The attack devastated Merck, infecting more than 40,000 devices in the company’s network and disrupting production of its HPV vaccine Gardasil 9.
