AbbVie spurs employee generosity with weeklong volunteering initiative

Ab­b­Vie’s an­nu­al “Week of Pos­si­bil­i­ties” will send some 15,000 em­ploy­ees out in­to lo­cal com­mu­ni­ties this year on build­ing, beau­ti­fy­ing and food bank projects around the world. Now in its eighth it­er­a­tion, the an­nu­al ini­tia­tive serves as a ral­ly­ing point for Ab­b­Vie vol­un­teerism and what the com­pa­ny stands for.

“Serv­ing com­mu­ni­ties is one of our core prin­ci­ples as a com­pa­ny and it’s a big part of the cul­ture we’ve built here,” said Clau­dia Car­ravet­ta, Ab­b­Vie VP of cor­po­rate re­spon­si­bil­i­ty and glob­al phil­an­thropy.
