Amazon lands FDA warning letter over distribution of seven unapproved eye drops

The FDA has warned Ama­zon about the dis­tri­b­u­tion of sev­en dif­fer­ent un­ap­proved eye drops on its site and giv­en the com­pa­ny 15 days to fix the vi­o­la­tions.

The warn­ing let­ter dat­ed yes­ter­day from the FDA comes less than a month af­ter a re­port from the agency warned cus­tomers not to buy over two dozen over-the-counter eye drops fol­low­ing re­ports of con­t­a­m­i­na­tion and new draft guid­ance for top­i­cal eye treat­ments.
