Amazon Pharmacy delivers insulin discounts in new automatic coupon program

To­day isn’t Prime Day, but Ama­zon has in­tro­duced a plan that could lead to sav­ings for some in­sulin users.

Ama­zon Phar­ma­cy an­nounced on Tues­day that it will be­gin au­to­mat­i­cal­ly ap­ply­ing man­u­fac­tur­er coupons to more than 15 in­sulin and di­a­betes care prod­ucts, help­ing pa­tients who may not have re­al­ized they had ac­cess to the dis­counts. While not every pa­tient will be el­i­gi­ble for the use of coupons, as some work in con­junc­tion with in­sur­ance, the ones that are avail­able will be ap­plied au­to­mat­i­cal­ly at check­out.
