Automated Insulin System OK’d; Zepbound Gains in Popularity; Male Menopause Cures?

The FDA cleared the twiist automated insulin delivery system powered by Tidepool for patients 6 and older with type 1 diabetes, said maker Sequel Med Tech. It’s the first drug delivery system to directly measure the volume and flow of insulin delivered with every micro-dose.

After 1 year, diabetic and nondiabetic patients on tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound) or injectable semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy) had more median weight loss than those on other GLP-1 agonists, including liraglutide (Victoza, Saxenda), dulaglutide (Trulicity), or oral semaglutide (Rybelsus).
