Boehringer allocates €120M to boost production of Jardiance in Greek plant

Boehringer In­gel­heim is un­der­go­ing a €120 mil­lion ex­pan­sion of its fa­cil­i­ty in Ko­ropi, Greece, to boost pro­duc­tion of its block­buster drug Jar­diance, among oth­er com­mer­cial and clin­i­cal as­sets.

The new ex­ten­sion will in­crease man­u­fac­tur­ing for its port­fo­lio in car­dio-re­nal-meta­bol­ic, men­tal health and pul­monary fi­bro­sis, Boehringer said in a Thurs­day re­lease. The ex­pan­sion will add 110 ad­di­tion­al jobs to the ex­ist­ing 700 em­ploy­ees.
