Bristol Myers to cut 108 employees in New Jersey

Bristol Myers Squibb plans to let go of 108 employees in New Jersey, citing an “evolving” business model.

The layoffs, set to go into effect Nov. 2, will affect employees in Lawrence, Princeton, Berkeley Heights, Pennington and New Brunswick, according to a WARN notice filed with the state this month.

Fierce Pharma first reported the layoffs on Aug. 11.

“As we move forward, we are continuing to deliver on our long-term business strategy by aligning resources to best support our operating model and our portfolio evolution,” a Bristol Myers spokesperson told Endpoints News in an email. “Unfortunately, there were impacts to some of our employees as a result of these changes.”
