When the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative announced a competition to build a new life science research hub in late 2021, it was unprepared for the reaction. Brimming with big ideas for exploratory research, scientists from more than 170 institutions filed nearly 60 applications pitching their cities as the ideal spot for CZI’s next Biohub.
“It was an amazing response,” CZI’s head of science Stephen Quake told Endpoints News.
