Cigna has given up on its plans to try and merge with Humana and is instead looking to acquire smaller companies in the near future, The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday.
Talks fell apart as the companies couldn’t agree on terms surrounding the deal, including price, the Journal reported. Instead, Cigna said Sunday that it will repurchase an additional $10 billion in stock.
