Two primary care rivals merged in a bet that combining forces will help them grow in the massive employer-sponsored healthcare market, the companies said on Thursday.
Marathon Health and Everside Health are both primary care companies that work with employers and unions to provide on-site, near-site or remote care services, including behavioral health and musculoskeletal, to employees and dependents. The two providers are paid based on the quality of care they deliver, rather than the number of visits they facilitate.
