Two Food and Drug Administration officials met with the Israeli embassy on Dec. 14 in Silver Spring, MD, to discuss establishing a new FDA office in Israel, according to an updated public calendar from the US drug regulator late last month.
The calendar says the FDA’s two senior international policy advisors, Anna Ferus and Sema Hashemi, met to discuss the agency’s “Perspective on the Idea of Establishing an FDA Office in Israel” with the Israeli Embassy’s Eliav Benjamin, counselor for political affairs, and Omer Bab, director of trade and regulatory policy.
