Revolutionizing Autism Therapy with AI for Faster and More Effective Results

Rising wait times for healthcare coincide with a growing number of diagnoses such as autism, Alzheimer’s, and chronic diseases. The US is on track for a potential shortage of 124,000 physicians by 2034. To address this challenge, Forta is utilizing cutting-edge AI, including large language models (LLMs), to enhance healthcare accessibility. Their mission focuses on empowering caregivers and improving clinical care through technology.

Forta’s initial efforts are concentrated on enhancing therapy access for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). By combining their algorithm with parent-led Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy, Forta has rapidly assisted hundreds of ASD-affected children and their families nationwide. A recent peer-reviewed study in the Cureus Journal revealed a 76% improvement in therapy goal achievement for individuals using Forta’s tech-enabled clinical model, surpassing traditional approaches.

“Our current healthcare system is not able to provide dependable and quality care to families when they need it. When we identify areas of care shortages, we find ways to empower local and family caregivers with AI-based tools and education to deliver earlier and more effective interventions,” said Ritankar Das, Co-Founder and CEO of Forta. “We started by applying our platform to autism therapy because many families face years of waiting for care. Now, we are exploring how to expand the empowered home caregiver model to memory care and other chronic conditions.”
