It is no secret that the US has been staring down shortages of drugs ranging from antibiotics such as amoxicillin to common cancer treatments, but the EU has been facing shortages as well, and France is looking to try and mitigate future shortages.
Earlier this week, French President Emmanuel Macron posted a statement on Twitter, translated from French, that too many people are facing shortages of pharmaceuticals and that the situation is “unacceptable.” Macron’s post continued by stating that the government is “deploying solutions” to alleviate the situation.
