Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) and eight other Georgia lawmakers on Thursday asked the FDA for more transparency over the shortage of cancer drugs like cisplatin and carboplatin.
Cisplatin, a standard treatment for various types of cancer, has been in shortage since February. This has cascaded to other cancer drugs, such as carboplatin, which is also in short supply.

Another inspection of the same plant in May by the FDA revealed multiple cleaning and data infractions.
