House lawmakers press CMS on monitoring rebate information, tout PBM reforms at hearing

House law­mak­ers pressed the CMS on a re­cent re­port show­ing that Medicare ben­e­fi­cia­ries pay more for pre­scrip­tion drugs than their plan spon­sors as they dou­bled down on the need for PBM re­forms dur­ing a hear­ing on Tues­day.

The House En­er­gy and Com­merce Health Sub­com­mit­tee met to dis­cuss a slate of 25 bills aimed at low­er­ing the cost of health­care for se­niors, in­clud­ing bills crack­ing down on PBMs and leg­is­la­tion al­low­ing Medicare to cov­er obe­si­ty treat­ments.
