House Republicans call on FDA to hand over info on internal scientific disagreements

Re­pub­li­can House law­mak­ers on the En­er­gy & Com­merce com­mit­tee are ask­ing the FDA to hand over doc­u­ments re­lat­ing to in­ter­nal sci­en­tif­ic dis­agree­ments at the agency, cit­ing the de­par­ture of two top vac­cine lead­ers in 2021 as part of the rea­son for their ques­tions.

Com­mit­tee chair Cathy Mc­Mor­ris Rodgers (WA) and Reps. Mor­gan Grif­fith (VA) and Brett Guthrie (KY) penned the let­ter to FDA com­mis­sion­er Robert Califf on Wednes­day ask­ing for a hefty list of doc­u­ments on how the agency re­solves in­ter­nal sci­en­tif­ic dis­putes.
