Republican House lawmakers on the Energy & Commerce committee are asking the FDA to hand over documents relating to internal scientific disagreements at the agency, citing the departure of two top vaccine leaders in 2021 as part of the reason for their questions.
Committee chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (WA) and Reps. Morgan Griffith (VA) and Brett Guthrie (KY) penned the letter to FDA commissioner Robert Califf on Wednesday asking for a hefty list of documents on how the agency resolves internal scientific disputes.
