ICER taps new president as Steve Pearson announces plans to step down

Long­time ICER pres­i­dent Steve Pear­son will step down at the end of this year, hand­ing the reins to COO and ex­ec­u­tive VP Sarah Emond, the cost-ef­fec­tive­ness watch­dog an­nounced on Wednes­day.

Pear­son will re­main in his role through the end of 2023 to fa­cil­i­tate the tran­si­tion, fol­low­ing 17 years at the helm. Af­ter the tran­si­tion, Pear­son will re­main at ICER as an ad­vi­sor through 2024. Deputy COO El­lie Adair will take over as COO.
