J&J to close California R&D facility with plans to open new ‘innovation center’

John­son & John­son will close an R&D fa­cil­i­ty in Bris­bane, CA, that it opened less than two years ago to in­te­grate “drug dis­cov­ery, da­ta sci­ence and dig­i­tal health.”

A J&J spokesper­son con­firmed to End­points News that the com­pa­ny plans to “ex­it the site,” adding that it will es­tab­lish a new “Cal­i­for­nia In­no­va­tion Cen­ter” in the Bay Area and “main­tain an ac­tive pres­ence in the ear­ly in­no­va­tion ecosys­tem there.”
