President Joe Biden yesterday afternoon released a new executive order to stop “countries of concern,” like China, and companies that operate alongside foreign governments, from collecting bulk sensitive personal data, including health and genomic data.
The executive order parallels bipartisan efforts in the House and Senate to block some Chinese and other foreign companies from winning federal grants, contracts and awards that might give them access to Americans’ sensitive health data.
