LunaDNA, a connector of patients and pharmaceuticals, to shutter

Lu­naD­NA, a com­pa­ny be­hind a health da­ta plat­form that con­nects pa­tient groups and com­pa­nies like Bio­gen, is slat­ed to close at the end of the month.

The San Diego com­pa­ny launched in 2017 to give pa­tients a say in how their health da­ta are used in drug re­search and de­vel­op­ment. Dawn Bar­ry, Lu­naD­NA’s pres­i­dent and co-founder, told End­points News that rev­enue was grow­ing and prof­itabil­i­ty was start­ing to come in­to view, but it was dif­fi­cult to ob­tain the next fund­ing round amid a biotech down­turn.
