Make the Diagnosis: A Skin Eruption Is Just One of This Bodybuilder’s Symptoms. What’s Up?

Presentation

An 18-year-old man visited his doctor with fever, multiple joint pain, and an inflammatory skin condition that had been progressive for the preceding few weeks. On examination, there were multiple erythematous and violaceous papules and nodules, as well as large pustules, that primarily covered his chest and were very painful. Some of the lesions were eroded and crusted. The patient reported that he recently started an intensive bodybuilding regimen and admitted to anabolic-androgenic steroid (AAS) / testosterone use for 3 months prior to lesion presentation. Can you diagnose this patient?
