Make the Diagnosis: His Daughter Gifted Him With This. What is It?

Presentation

A 35-year-old man presented to the doctor with complaints of fever, sore throat, cough, diarrhea, and a rash that developed over the prior 2 days. His 2-year-old daughter, who attended daycare, had just recovered from a similar illness. On examination, the patient had a fever of 37.9°C (100.3°F) with multiple erythematous papules and some grayish vesicles on the hands and feet. Oral examination revealed scattered erosions on the oropharynx and gingiva. Can you diagnose the patient?
