Manufacturing roundup: AGC Biologics opens new facility in Milan; Charles River drops Q2 numbers

CDMO AGC Biologics has put the finishing touches on an expansion of its facility in Milan, Italy.

The facility, named AGC’s Milan Cell & Gene Center of Excellence, is a manufacturing site designated to produce viral vectors for customers. The site includes a new filling line, more lab space and warehousing facilities.

AGC acquired the site in July 2020 to boost its cell and gene business. The CDMO currently has another cell and gene facility in Longmont, CO.
