MarketingRx roundup: Alzheimer’s Association raises awareness in Hispanic community; Cancer research fundraiser tops $795M

The Alzheimer’s As­so­ci­a­tion is work­ing with the Ad Coun­cil and ad agency Lopez Ne­grete Com­mu­ni­ca­tions on a new cam­paign to in­crease ear­ly de­tec­tion of the dis­ease and oth­er de­men­tias in the His­pan­ic com­mu­ni­ty. The new pub­lic ser­vice an­nounce­ments, called “Some Things Come with Age,” are avail­able in both Eng­lish and Span­ish, and they cel­e­brate the good things that come with age and high­light some changes that may be signs of Alzheimer’s dis­ease or de­men­tia. His­pan­ic Amer­i­cans are 1.5 times more like­ly to de­vel­op Alzheimer’s than white Amer­i­cans, ac­cord­ing to the as­so­ci­a­tion’s 2023 facts and fig­ures re­port.
