Astel­las and BMS brands on the red car­pet. The Peo­ple’s Choice Awards may not be quite as high-pro­file as the Os­cars or Em­mys, but it still de­liv­ers mil­lions of view­ers. Some phar­ma ad­ver­tis­ers, in­clud­ing Bris­tol My­ers Squibb and Astel­las, joined the ad breaks, while host and “Bar­bie” ac­tor Simu Liu in­cor­po­rat­ed phar­ma men­tions in his open­ing re­marks. The awards are in their 49th year, he joked, but “with a lit­tle Botox, some light filler and a cou­ple of months on Ozem­pic, it won’t look a day over 31.” Oth­er phar­ma mar­keters on the NBC broad­cast in­clud­ed Vi­iV Health­care with ads for Apre­tude and Dova­to, Ab­b­Vie brand Vray­lar and In­cyte’s Opzelu­ra, ac­cord­ing to iS­pot.tv ad track­ing.
