Medical Fair India takes place in New Delhi, from 27th to 29th April. The show has been chosen because of the importance of the Indian market for medical devices, ranking among the global top 20. It is now one of the world’s fastest growing marketplaces for healthcare technology. The company will be providing support for companies wishing to enter or expand into this exciting region.
June sees the return of the Florida International Medical Expo (FIME), the leading trade show for those wanting to do business in the medical device and equipment sector in the Americas. The exhibition usually attracts around 25,000 visitors. Medilink UK is once again able to provide support to UK companies wishing to exhibit.
If Southeast Asia is your target market then Medical Fair Thailand is the region’s most popular medical and healthcare event, taking place 13th to 15th September. Established in 2003, it receives in excess of 11,000 visitors from across the region.
Rehacare is the first of two exhibitions located in Düsseldorf at which Medilink host the UK Pavilion. With a focus on rehabilitation, prevention, inclusion and care the show has been running for over 40 years. Medilink have been organising the UK Pavilion at Rehacare since 2005 and from 13th to 16th September tens of thousands of visitors will pass through its doors.
Two shows take place in October: Medical Japan and Africa Health. The former is located in Tokyo and is Japan’s largest medical trade exhibition. The world’s third largest medical market, Japan is experiencing a huge expansion in its healthcare requirements, due largely to its ageing population. Africa Health takes place in Johannesburg, South Africa, a region which imports around 90% of its medical devices. Healthcare and Life Sciences products are actually in the top five UK exports to South Africa.
The world’s largest healthcare exhibition also takes place in Düsseldorf. Established 40 years ago MEDICA is one of the biggest events in the healthcare and lifesciences calendar. Companies form around the world return year after year, such is the reputation of the show. In 2021 Medilink UK hosted its largest pavilion, only to exceed this in 2022 with another record contingent of UK companies. The show takes place 13thto 16th November, but because of high demand space is allocated on a first come first served basis, so early booking is essential.
Another of the world’s largest healthcare exhibitions, and the largest healthcare business event in the Middle East, is Arab Health that takes place in January in Dubai. Bookings are already being taken for the 2024 exhibition due to the popularity. This event has been running for 48 years and it typically attracts over 4,000 global exhibitors and tens of thousands of visitors from growing healthcare markets including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Kuwait and Northern Africa. The Medilink UK Pavilion in 2023 was the largest to date and is growing in size each year, however our exhibition space does sell out very quickly and we advise companies to book sooner rather than later.
If your development plans include entry or expansion into international markets, then participation in overseas exhibitions could be a worthwhile consideration. Support packages are available to help new and experienced exhibitors get the most form their venture and maximise the return on their investment.
