BioNTech disclosed on Monday that it received a “notice of default” from the NIH over alleged breaches to a license agreement related to its Pfizer-partnered Covid-19 vaccine.
The NIH says BioNTech owes royalties and “other related amounts” on Comirnaty sales, according to a securities filing. BioNTech revealed last week that it’s in a similar dispute with the University of Pennsylvania, though the school did not respond to a request for comment on Monday.
