Novartis recruits new ex-US leader from AbbVie as Marie-France Tschudin steps down

Marie-France Tschudin, No­var­tis’ pres­i­dent, in­no­v­a­tive med­i­cines in­ter­na­tion­al and chief com­mer­cial of­fi­cer, is step­ping down af­ter al­most sev­en years with the com­pa­ny.

Tak­ing over her spot on the ex­ec­u­tive com­mit­tee will be Patrick Hor­ber, who’s cur­rent­ly work­ing at Ab­b­Vie as se­nior vice pres­i­dent and pres­i­dent, im­munol­o­gy. His of­fi­cial ti­tle will be pres­i­dent, in­ter­na­tion­al. Mukul Mehta, CFO, in­ter­na­tion­al, will lead the unit be­tween Tschudin’s de­par­ture on Sept. 15 and Hor­ber’s first day lat­er this year.
