– OhioHealth Marion General Hospital today announced the appointment of Jim Parobek as its new president, effective March 4th, 2024.
– Parobek brings over 30 years of experience in healthcare leadership to the role, with a proven track record of success in building strong teams, driving strategic growth, and fostering community engagement.
Parobek Bio/Background
Parobek’s extensive experience encompasses various leadership roles across the country, most recently serving as Interim CEO of White Rock Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. In this role, he spearheaded operational improvements and strategic planning for growth.
Prior to that, Parobek served as president of Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, the largest facility within the Texas Health Resources network. Under his leadership, the hospital achieved Level 1 trauma center status and implemented numerous initiatives related to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I) and community engagement, including establishing a respite unit at a local homeless shelter.
Parobek’s career also includes leadership positions at St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital and the Jewish Hospital Physician Group in Louisville, Kentucky, as well as president of Gateway Rehabilitation Hospital in the same city.
