Pharma and healthcare spending expected to help push ad industry to first-ever $1T total in 2024, study says

While fi­nance and tech are lead­ing the way to the first-ever year of $1 tril­lion in ad spend­ing, the phar­ma and health­care cat­e­go­ry is right be­hind.

In 2024, phar­ma and health­care will ac­count for $6.8 bil­lion of the tril­lion-dol­lar to­tal, ac­cord­ing to a re­cent study from the mar­ket­ing in­tel­li­gence com­pa­ny WARC. That’s a pro­ject­ed in­crease of 11% next year, ac­cord­ing to the pro­jec­tion, on­ly slight­ly be­hind the growth in fi­nan­cial ser­vices (+11.5%) and tech­nol­o­gy and elec­tron­ics (+11.3%).
