Slew of pharma industry players form coalition to push back against antitrust reform

A group of more than 30 life sci­ences or­ga­ni­za­tions, in­clud­ing gi­ants Am­gen, Gilead and Mer­ck, has band­ed to­geth­er to push back against an­titrust re­form ef­forts and pro­mote merg­ers and ac­qui­si­tions as a key for in­no­va­tion.

The new coali­tion, called the Part­ner­ship for the US Life Sci­ence Ecosys­tem, or PULSE, launched Wednes­day and aims to make the case that merg­ers and ac­qui­si­tions are key to ad­vanc­ing in­no­va­tion.
