Rocket Lab’s spacecraft has successfully returned to Earth after helping manufacture Ritonavir crystals for Varda Space Industries, it announced Wednesday. Ritonavir crystals are used in antiviral medication, for instance for HIV/AIDS. The spacecraft housed operations and technology such as capsule dispensers, radio, solar panels and flight software that helped manufacture the crystals. The spacecraft was in orbit for over eight months.
